Sounds good to me. People could be keeping side-notes on #3, but if
the near-term focus the design is #1 and #2, we're much more likely to
hit the actual needs of the users.
Um. One of the needs of the users is quick execution. :)
"TypePad's new mobile features and the web features of Nokia Lifeblog will
be demonstrated at DEMOmobile, a gathering of mobile industry key players in
La Jolla, CA. The blogging capability of Nokia Lifeblog is based on the open
ATOM standard, and will be available early 2005."
So there's interest in Atom.
And from our side, the Atom protocol as it is currently defined, is
rather close to actual needs already. The binary format, metadata, and
the feed state management have been our headaches, but
PaceSimpleResourcePosting, PaceExtendedResourcePosting and the current
discussion in atom-syntax seem good in that regard.
I think we have a good base in the current protocol to start with. It
seems to work in real life :)
