Before we close this on the Atom-syntax list perhaps we can just see if 
this would be of use on the atom-protocol list first.

So Hi, atom-protocol guys! What advantages would there be to having the 
head element be an Entry structure? Would this allow for 
simplifications in the protocol?

I am not so up to scratch with the protocol spec at present. But it 
seems like it could make a difference.
