I don't believe that we can decide a policy on reuse independent of the
implications. A wholesale reuse of WebDAV seems both inappropriate and
unlikely - particularly as nobody is proposing it.
Whether or not a specific interaction that we collectively would like to
see the Atom protocol implement is semantically close enough to a
specific WebDAV method to warrant reuse is something we need to
collectively examine on an individual case by case basis.
I am not a chair, but I have confidence enough in the editors that they
will accurately reflect the consensus of the working group.
