Well, then, let me be the first to give my whole-hearted support to
PaceSliceAndDice!

This Pace, in spite of its name, gives a syntax for collection
representation and defines how to query a conceptual collection, producing
XML collection documents as a result. I believe it admits clients that have
local state as well as those that don't, and it admits an upward
compatibility with WebDAV URI spaces. What's not to like?
