Now that we're nearing the completion of the basic protocol spec, I
would very much like to see work on documenting application specific
uses of the protocol. However, it would likely be best to allow a few
alternative implementations to develop first then figure out what they
do the same.

The f:features spec can handle that with no problem. I see no
justification for adding it to the core.
