OK, let's make a strawman proposal:

PURPOSE: Get developers of as many APP implementations as possible,  
client and server, in a room with their code.  Show interop working.
WHERE: Silicon valley: Google, Sun, AOL, wherever
WHEN: 1PM Mon 16th April - end-of-day Tue 17th April

This allows people to travel in Monday morning, and gives us scope  
for dinner & gossip evening of the 17th.  I suspect that most of the  
value would have been squeezed out by the middle of Tuesday.
