in the past is because it is the name of our working group,
and using that name for just the protocol seems like it
would be confusing. If no one else sees a problem with that then
I'm OK with AtomPub.
I has that thought as well, but does it really matter? If I recall correctly, once the spec is accepted, the working group will cease to exist anyway...
