Dear Bill and everyone else: People like Joe are going to invent all sorts of weird voodoo extensions to the protocol, whether we like it or not. Some of them will even be good ideas. The virtue of the features draft is that it gives people a way to name them and talk about them, and, who knows, converge on a few good ones. Frankly, I'd prefer to publish it with *no* actual features except for "draft yes/no", let the implementors fill in the rest. -T
