Hi folks,

I was playing with the GData interface using httplib2 and had good fun.
However I was surprised to realize that there was no mention in the
documentation (nor anywhere else AFAIK) of a service document for the
different GData services.

Seems awkward to me considering the benefit of that document for
discovery of services, has anyone an idea if it can be found by some
kind of voodoo magic?

I don't believe the locations of the service document is documented anywhere.
Even if you had found it you would have noticed that it's in the wrong
namespace, being based on the -09 draft.
Our current GData implementations aren't completely RFC 5023
compliant, but there
is an effort underway to bring them all up to speed. We brought a
preview of that work to
the last interop session and we did quite well. I'll obviously be
writing more about this as each
service goes live with a compliant version of AtomPub.
Thanks Joe for the feedback. I wasn't complaining BTW, just wondered as I find the service document to be very useful.

I can imagine for instance that given a user profile you'd follow his/her service document and therefore be able to find in a programmatic way which Google service a user has enabled.

Anyhow, thank you for the update.
