I actually pointed this out a very long time ago (around Last
Call time I think) when we had the first go-around about the
category stuff.

I proposed spec text back then that I still think was a pretty
good effort (it would cover most of the open problems that Joe,
Daniel et al are facing), but not a lot of people could bring
themselves to care at the time, and the few who did had diverging
opinions, so nothing much happened. I might go dig it up for a
fresh look…
