Assistance with Atom support proposal requested

Hi All

I've been following the development of Atom with interest since that first
post on intertwingly.net and have been lurking on this list for some time.
My interest in Atom is not specifically blog related but in terms of content
administration and syndication more generally.

There are two products that I am indirectly involved with that I feel could
really benefit from Atom API support, one is a server side content
management system and the other is a client side authoring tool. I'm
planning on putting proposals together for each of them outlining how Atom
could be supported and how this would enhance the each product

Before I get too far with this I just want to make sure that all my ducks
are in a row. If anyone is interested in helping me out or just letting me
pick their brains and check my facts I'd appreciate it if you would contact
me off list. The main areas that interested in are current & proposed levels
of support for the Atom API amongst server products and the suitability of
Atom for certain use cases.
