Sounds fair. And enough. I don't think we need anything else at this
moment. Let Atom be simple. But could we use the 'mode' attribute instead
of 'type' to not confuse it with MIME type?

And then, if someone _really_ needs it, we might add an OPTIONAL 'type'
attribute that holds the actualy MIME type of the content. But if you
don't want to deal with the MIME type, I think you shouldn't. The only
important thing for the consumer is, after all, just to know if it's
escaped (interperable) HTML or not.
If the 'type' attribute should override 'type' or if they need to match,
is something we need to find out, but I think this might give everything
what they want. Or?
