Very interesting email. I wish we had more like this one.

One question for this list: If the reasoning is correct, should the link property perhaps not also be attached to the EntryState, rather than the Entry as represented in the second diagram above. Ie. is a link an essential property of an Entry?

If you keep history of your old contents (means modified entries). It might be a good idea to have different link and so attached it to EntryState

That makes sense to me. I no one else comes up with a good reason I will modify my model accordingly.

I noticed that the last three ascii graphs of my previous e-mail got badly mangled in the archives of this list at: http://www.imc.org/atom-syntax/mail-archive/msg04559.html
I hope no one's e-mail client gave such bad results.
Anyway I will illustrate the following question with images as those are less likely to suffer that fate.

Another question:

Scenario:
	1 Entry is created:
		- not published (not issued yet)

So we get our Atom xml feed and parse one of the entries into the following graph

JPEG image

Symbol key: - the rounded rectangle (eg tag:e1) represent resources - the circles represent blank nodes - the rectangles represent literals - the arrows represent predicates (these are always resources)

(sorry I spent too much time doing these graphs to bother rewriting them in ascii format. I'll pay more attention next time to attachment sizes once I know what the max size is)
