I can understand this... _however_ if the version number is now a useless
thing
lets get rid of it. It's just using up a little bit of space but in how may
mail messages?
I'm sure the authors of MIME are able to think up a way of removing
something they put in...
If the version number is never to change its just a waste to have, if people
are using the version number in their software they should be notified not
to.
Its been five years, surely someone has thought of a way to bump it up or
off.
Just leaving it at 1.0 seems silly...
