I think we should try to keep this in perspective. I may have done richtext something of a disservice by implementing the Andrew translator so early, but these are completely artifacts of the way I'm doing the translation, not flaws in richtext. If I can make the translation better, you'll see it all done with paragraph> and excerpt> in small doses. I could give you the technical details of why this is hard in Andrew, but that's even less relevant than this objection!
