Re: Accurate location information is a "must have" requirement
Responding to the discussion of whether location is a property of an event...
We may lack the language to describe what it is where arguing over because "location" is no
longer sufficient to describe the space of an event when the event itself may take place
electronically or may not be an "meeting" our the traditional sense of the word.
It seems clear to me that in order for an event description to be useful in an concrete sense it
must contain at least three things:
a) "What the event is" (Title, id#, or some other way of differentiating it from others)
a) "When the event takes place"
b) "How to attend the event"
...all in some meaningful way to _me_ as a participant or observer.
b) "How to attend the event" may be

-(Turn on office) Video Phone, Channel 4539184947759393XAA

I realize that, in my flippancy (is that a word?), I've overlooked complete generality, but I'll
claim that "events that take place at some exact time somewhere in the known universe" will at
least be in the minority of those that people will tend to schedule. And while "location" may not
be a good word, using the sense of "How to attend the event", I think it certainly is an
essential property.
