Hi Paul -- I would be interested in chatting with you about what is
wrong with what these behemoths are trying to do to each otehr and to
the standards we need for the Internet.
I think there is real value in the ASID and vCARD work that will apply
to the development of a Simple Agent Transfer Protocol, which woudl
serve to both transfer agents around the net, and to facilitate
inter-agent commnunication too.
My notion is that the extension/addition of sub-attribute tagging in
ABNF as used inb RFC822/MIME, et al, headers is a critical thing whcih
will enrich the power of these kinds of communication.
What I am worried about is that the Netscape/Microsoft fight might
derail this work, or at lease distract from it and slow it down.
