BEGIN/END doesn't cost very much for programs that don't need it
(i.e., if you don't like them, just put in five lines of code to skip
them), but may be handy for some applications.  I don't see why it
shouldn't be included.

It would be nice if there is a list of recurrence patterns (and
exceptions) that can be represented in one model but not another.
