My personal belief is that we'll end up with something that is very similar
to, and reasonably compatible with, vCalendar.  Given the amount of
effort that's gone into vCalendar so far, the quickest route to success
would seem to be "tweak vCalendar so it works well in the Internet" rather 
than "start from scratch"
