Similar debates like this are raging in other groups.  Since we don't have
the infrastructure let's not push it.

I have a problem with this thinking.  Particularly for this group, where
for some of the vendors, calendaring and mail programing groups are closely
aligned.

Additionally authenticity over mail will require something like S/MIME
which immediately results in a recursive requirement.
