I definitely agree with this.  It seems to me that a robust scheduling
application would want to use a direct-connect protocol if possible, with email
as a fall-back mechanism.  It's also nice when the direct-connect protocol
includes something along the lines of the MAILTO response code described in the
ICAP proposal.
