I have no objection to review and possibly even publication of an XML DTD for
Ical data, provided that:

(1) It waits until the other work this group is doing is done.
(2) It is clear that it isn't presently intended for use on the wire.
(3) The specification, if one emerges is information/experimental rather than
    standards track.

I object to anything that doesn't meet these conditions. Experience has
shown that even the appearance of competition between two different
approaches to  a problem has the potential for paralyzing an IETF WG
for months or years, and in some cases can result in necessary output
from the WG not getting done at all.
