Right! you would have to select the VEVENT components with the appropriate properties/values selected. It is not specified for June 3rd until the DTSTART says so. We don't have fuzzy logic for events. They are either on the calendar or not. Same for VTODO and VJOURNAL.

Agree that we need form concrete requirements and proposals for this. But more important we need more discussion.
