Joe,

The web based EDI service we are developing uses javascript to translate X12 
to html, validate field values, etc, create the reciprocal X12 transaction 
and send it back to us.

We have already written the code for most of the purchasing related 
transactions used by the federal government and we will be moving into other 
industry as well later this year
