Logistic and Electronic Commerce Questionnaire Spring 1998

To whom it may concern,

The significance of the keywords, "Electronic
Commerce" and "Internet" is undisputed. Companies
see their challenge today in having to adapt their
processes to the new technologies. This is
especially the case for logistics.

The Competence Centre for Electronic Markets (CCEM)
at the mcm institute for Media and Communications
Management (http://www.mcm.unisg.ch), University of
St. Gallen (preiously Institute for Information
Management) has been researching this area since
1989. The focus has been both on the potential as
well as risks of telmatics and the Internet for
logistics. The newest project concerning logistics
has been in progress since April 1997 and is
concerned with the development of a business
concept for an electronic intermediary of logistic
services. Within the framework of the project,
extensive expert interviews and workshops have been
conducted. The most significant results served as
basis for the development of the questionnaire.

With this survey, we want to receive critical
feedback to our concept and collect expert opinion
from people like yourself in industry and resaerch.
We kindly ask you to take the approximately fifteen
minutes to complete this questionnaire. You can
fill out this questionnaire online via Internet or
get an electronic version of it:

http://www.businessmedia.org/businessmedia/business
media.nsf/pages/logec_main.html.

In addition, it would be appreciated if you
referred this survey to other interested persons.
Please sent the questionnaire until 10th of April
1998 back to us.

For the efforts, we will send you a complete
analysis of the responses. The results will also be
presented at a workshop in summer of 1998 which you
may also attend. If desired, we will continuously
update you on the progress of this project.
