I know it will be neater if a single scheme is proposed for internet EDI.

However I can sense that irrespective of which is been chosen, there will
be at least one other scheme which will be developed fully in parallel
and an alternate proposal might come out in future. If a single selection
is to be made then I hope that it will be one that is acceptable
internationally.

Those not in North America have no ready access to test or evaluate
some of the schemes above. Although alternate compatable plug in modules
might be available, commercial use of some of those is uncertain.

Those outside North America might not be willing to accept products
with second rate security. Thus in my activities in various countries
if I were forced to make a recommendation I might have to nominate the
products that could be used globally. One of our mottos is to
'exclude exclusion'.
