	I would strongly... nay, VERY strong, encourage this path.  Let's
all get agreement about the specific, DIFFERENT sets of functional
requirements (e.g., by defining a small number of different "categories" of
edi styles of use) and then see how the contenders satisfy (or fail to)
these requirements.)
