Could you let me know the date that the EDIINT working group was
established. Also, I notice in the charter that the group's aim
is to describe requirements for inetroperable EDI on the
Internet, and to "state" how current standards can be used
to achieve it with e-mail, HTP or FTP. My questions are:

I thought you were basically dealing with e-mail, and "recommending"
a standard or standards to go with for EDI over the Internet via
e-mail. Are you no longer going to make a recommendation?
Also, is there an RFC number yet for the working draft?

Also, the considerations for FTP and HTTP are news to me. Were
they always out there on the horizon. I can understand HTTP for
Web based EDI, but isn't FTP rather insecure considering one
must administer access rights to their trading partners on their
computers, and also, FTP transmits login and password in clear.
Is anyone out there going to go with FTP over e-mail?

I would appreciate your clarification.
