We get into the really ugly business of what is the data representation of
the senders capabilities given THE MULTITUDE OF OPTIONS we will have with
TIFF-F AND TIFF-FX.

Yea ...but is a SMTP Client environment messages are going to get convoluted.

I send you a message but your MAC-Eudora cannot process it...but the sender
does not know that until you actually poll for mail which might be 3 days
after I sent the message and then yourMAC-eudora sends a message back to
sender saying "sorry" resend the message this way. Then another 3 days goes
buy..you see!

Or worse everyone uses a "Least Common Denominator"

Oh that leaves out the wonderful need for error codes. It is a "Mail Error"
or "Ifax" error.

I've had my reservations about using T.30 stuff but maybe I've been wrong.
The argument for using all of the T.30 superstructure is that its there it
works a lot of us know how to manupliate it. Error messaging is well
understood.

Mr. Lake may be on to something by putting this into a vCard .. his example
looked pretty simple to implement.

But then perhaps we should wait till Dave Duehren flushes out his ideas
some more. Dave....if you are lurking out there. What do you think about
this vCard stuff?
