Welcome to the ietf-imap-voice mailing list.

This is an unmoderated mailing list for the discussion of IMAP4
extensions for binary and streaming media.  The list is concerned
with issues such as:

    - Binary messages or message parts.
    - Transfer to clients other than the IMAP client,
      or from servers other than the IMAP server.
    - Streaming media attachments.
    - Server-side conversion and transcoding.
    - Integration of user-level message length indicators.

Our initial goal is to write drafts for IMAP4 extensions where
appropriate, and to discuss these drafts and other ideas at a BOF
at the next IETF conference.
