I know that it's probably much too late to complain about this now, but can
someplace please explain why the MODSEQ is a 64-bit value?
It's desirable for modseq to be comparable across multiple messages. For
example, 'search for messages with modseq higher than x' while updating an
offline client's cache.
And how does a 64-bit MODSEQ accomplish this in a way that a 32-bit MODSEQ
does not?
The examples imply the usage of a date/time, but you can't actually use
such; but there seems to be a nudge-nudge wink-wink implication that
clients can assume that.
