Well, I've been silent mostly because it looked complex enough that I
didn't have any plans to implement it for a long time yet. Now I think
my server is slowly getting ready for new features, so I may try
implementing annotate (and maybe others) in a few months.

I don't now remember exactly what Arnt's comments about annotate's
problems were, but I remember silently agreeing with them, so they
probably should be fixed before it gets to be RFC.
