Before IESG is to make any determination about this document, I would like 
to see some discussion of this document within IMAPEXT, and a 
recommendation to IESG made as to whether this document should be 
rejected, published as Experimental, or published as Proposed.

The document has some good points; in particular the EXPUNGED response 
consumes less bandwidth than multiple EXPUNGE responses.  However, I don't 
believe that the benefits justify the additional complexity created by 
burdening an already complex protocol with yet another extension; nor do I 
believe that there is substantial added functionality in this document.

The fact that it is Alexey who submitted it, however, indicates to me that 
there may be something more to this proposal.  Whatever it is, I've missed 
it.

I would like Alexey to give us a presentation before passing final 
judgement.
