Martin Konold writes, quoting Dave Cridland:
As Mark says, the Lemonade WG is examining this kind of work at the moment. New people are always welcome and valuable, and while your draft is largely addressed by, for example, NOTIFYI tried to figure out what the Lemonade WG is doing.
Extend/improve internet email protocols so they're nice and fast on mobile phones and other low-bandwidth, high-latency devices. (The official wording is a little more convoluted.) Lemonade extends both SMTP/Submit and IMAP.
(I have some doubts with regards to the goals of the lemonade WG as I have the impression that they try to solve a different problem)
If it's valuable for a mobile phone trying to read mail effectively, it's part of Lemonade's problem.
