I think I'm going to use it, actually. Send up to one EXISTS. Shouldn't 
hurt the client and won't hurt my nonblocking IO. Not sure whether 
it'll have any benefit. Perhaps.

Don't you send something like '* OK NAT middleboxes must die!" (more 
politely phrased) every two minutes, or am I confusing you with someone 
else?
