No, I did not know about that draft. Thanks for pointing it out.
As it happens, it embodies a quite different approach to identifying header
fields: the approach in draft-klyne-message-xml aims to embody the header
field names as XML element names, namespace-qualified. The other draft
uses a fixed set of element names and includes header field names as
attribute values.
I won't claim that one approach is fundamentally better than the other: I
can see advantages in each. I prefer the approach I've suggested because
it maps more closely to what people might expect message data in XML to
look like, and I think is generally more compact by avoiding an un-needed
lavel of indirection.
