There is always the option of sprinking magic DWIM powder over notify-mailto...

    If the message being notified about has an Auto-Submitted
    field, the sieve SHOULD execute a redirect action instead of
    the notify action.

People who write good user interfaces are used to doing such things, but 
I'm not so sure it's a good idea in a specification like this.
