I do  not recall any comments to suggest that the TA manager needs to 
be outside the firewall.

Since your earlier message said you didn't care about TAM ("Since I 
have no interest in TAM, feel free to ignore my long-winding comment 
:-)"), don't feel compelled to continue contributing to this thread.
