The suspension action can be logically undone.
A revocation action cannot be undone.
If one advises a VISA bank that is possible that one has lost one's
visacard,
then they can suspend its use (for three days most issuing policies). When
you find the card, account activity can be resumed as if nothing
had happened. If you do not find it, the card is revoked, and you get
a new one. The consequences of revocation [request] are laid out
in the issuing policy; for example, you may be responsible for
reporting loss of the card to the police, in some countries.
