[IETF-PKIX] Nortel Patent and Authority Information Access

I just read the Nortel patent, and I am very concerned.  I am not a lawyer
(thank goodness), but my reading of the patent leads me to believe that it
covers more than CRL Distribution points.  Claim 1 is very broad.  In
particular, it seems to cover the use of the Authority Information Access
extension to point to a OCSP server.

I think that we need some lawyers to look at PKIX Part 1 and the Nortel
patent.  I would hope that companies with the appropriate legal resources
could have them take a look and post the findings.
