OK, sorry about the sarcasm level in response to Bill's query. Bill probably
didn't intend the insult.

The last time someone suggested adding authors names to one of my drafts was
when Jeff Hostetler and myself propsed digest authentication in HTTP. The
RFC ended up with about 7 names, many of which had been added in the hope
that certain companies would support it (they didn't).

Having worked in particle physics I know all about being on an author list
that takes three pages. I always thought that rather ridiculous.
