The approach to let a server manage and use your private keys to
sign your signatures seams to be bad design for the sake of saving
a little processing power in the client.
In this and all other matters of public acceptance of security
practices/devices, never underestimate the lure of convenience.
How else could one explain automatic surveillance traded off with
not having to carry correct change for the toll booth, say?
