There are several people that have been subscribed to this mailing  
list for a long time that have an excellent understanding of 3GPP and  
3GPP2. I'm working on the assumption that if they had clear  
information that would help us not repeat a mistake that happened  
elsewhere, they would probably have passed on that information. If  
someone has a concrete problem, I'm sure the folks here would be very  
happy to understand it. I will also note that this work was never  
scoped to deal with IPTV type security - the requirements for that  
would be much different and would be more likely to include DRM in  
the requirements.
