You have made my act of asking about closure an important issue.  

It was just a question, and it was in the context of AMMS.  

Is not closure our real objective?  Was my question out of order?

Yes, you are the chair.  I am a member, and I can ask about closure
any time I wish.  You as chair can say "Not Now!" any time you wish.

My response to Mark was entirely based on my understanding of what he
is saying, that he wants a different draft to do something entirely
different than what the AMMS draft does.  He wants another draft.

My response is that he should write a draft that does what he wants,
and contribute it to the WG for consideration.  I wish now that I had
said this in the first place, but I didn't.

As for closure pressure, except for Mark's adamant and singular
(unless you are supporting him), demands I do not see a lot of
controversy (related to any of the 4 new drafts), so I am curious as
to whether others in the WG are ready to close on something.

I will also ask if the WG is ready to consider closing on the original
WG draft.  I have not seen much traffic discussing it, but maybe it
enjoys a strong silent consensus.

It is my member's prerogative to openly ask these questions, with or
without first clearing them with the chair.  It is your right to
announce that it is not the time for closure, and being chair your
determination speaks for the WG, while my questions remains questions
which others may or may not wish to comment upon.

At this point I am really interested in knowing what issues are
outstanding so we might address them.
