RFC 1426 problem and solution



Harald Alvestrand asks if ``we got it clear enough that the "sender" in
this case means the sending UA, *NOT* any server that has gotten the
message because of his announcing 8BITMIME capability.''

Definitely not! I cannot find even a hint in the RFC that this only applies
to UA's talking to MTA's and not 8BITMIME capable MTA's relaying to MTA's
that don't do 8BITMIME. 

Why should there be a difference between a "client SMTP" that is a UA and
one that's a MTA? (Should i re-read the archives to find out?)
