I've been sitting back watching the debate go on and on for awhile (which is
pretty unusual for me :-), and this proposal seems both extremely
controversial and beset with large numbers of problems.  In this case why not
give it either 'Experimental' status (in order to gain more experience with
the can of worms that it opens up), or make it a private RFC rather than a TLS
WG item?  That would seem to resolve the problem, because I'm not sure that
continuing debate will do more than point out even more problems with it.
