There is nothing in this draft that conflicts with EU data sharing
and retention policies.  If those policies require that data be
destroyed immediately after use, then implementations of the draft
can be designed to do so.

As am I.  I'm also in favor of strong architectural design, since
strong crypto provides no protection from weak implementation.  When
your personal information is stored by a merchant (with your consent),
you'd want the strongest possible measures (as described in my
previous message) taken to prevent it from being stolen by
technically sophisticated attackers, right?
