    This will hopefully be a moot argument as the patentability
    of software is being investigated at the moment by the CAFC
    and will probably end up being decided by the U.S. Supreme
    Court, who has in the past suggested it is not patentable.

We hope the Supreme Court will eliminate software patents in the US,
but we cannot take that for granted.  We have to prepare for other
outcomes.
