This is a problem for restricted feeds. If (this is some years back) I
want a feed of exactly comp.os.linux, I wouldn't see the newgroup messages
advertizing the split, though it's pretty obvious that I'd want to see
them.
I don't know a good answer for that, aside from crossposting them to a per-
hierarchy group dedicated for this (say, net.control). And for hierarchy
creation, some widely-propagated group (in news.*, probably - these days
I'd try news.admin.hierarchies).
