Let's cut this a bit short and say: Just trust me, ok?
After all the contortions we've gone through finding replacement names in
the no.* hierarchy, names with national characters have ceased to be a
desireable feature and has become an absolute necessity. There are several
times when a replacement cannot be found that adequately captures the
original. I gather Erland has much the same experince from se.* and Kai
obviously in de.*.
I would be greatly surprised if you didn't find the same sentiment in
*every* national hierarchy -- with the notable exception of uk.*, of course
-- and parts of Big 8.
